Amaretto Cake

Ingredients:                                                    

2 cups Flour

2 cups Sugar

2 tsp Baking Powder

1 pkg Instant Vanilla Pudding

4 Eggs

1 cup Oil

¾ cup Orange Juice

¼ cup Amaretto

¼ Cup Vodka

Directions:

Mix all ingredients together. Spray a bundt pan very well. Sprinkle with flour. Pour in batter. Bake @ 350 for 45 minutes-1 hour.

With Purim, right around the corner, I present you with a delicious recipe to prepare the traditional Hamantashen. This recipe is adapted from the most amazing cookbook, "Spice & Spirit".

To make life simpler, feel free to join us  at the Purim party and taste them ready-made :) or at the Women's Circle to bake them yourself.

   

* HAMANTASHEN! * 

4 Eggs  
1 Cup Sugar 
1/2 Cup Oil 
Juice of 1 Lemon 
Rind of 1 Lemon, grated 
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract 
5 Cups Flour 
2 tsps. Baking Powder

FILLING OPTIONS: 
Poppy seed filling 
Prune Filling   
Jam 
Chocolate chips 
Peanut Butter 

* Preheat Oven to 350 
* Grease Cookie Sheet 
* Beat Eggs and Sugar 
* Add remaining ingredients 
* Mix well 
* Divide into four (4) parts 
* Proceed to assemble according to diagrams 
* Bake for 20 minutes 
* OPTIONAL: Dip cooled hamantashen into melted 
  chocolate and then into sprinkles, crushed 
  nuts, or shredded coconumt.

NOTE: 
If glaze is desired, brush with beaten eggs 
YIELDS 4 Dozen Hamantashen
